So this week was all about people.
I spent the weekend in southern California with family. My cousins were awesome. Every night they’d say, “Let’s go to the gym.” It’s always nice to workout with someone else. I made it to the gym five times (had two full day drives) this week!
I was also able to convince a friend of mine and her husband to also sign up for the Disneyland 1/2 marathon. We’ve already done a facebook message back and forth.
I’m so glad I did my first marathon with Team In Training. There is just something about having a group of people around you while you train. I’m not training with TNT this time, but I do have a great group of friends who challenge me each week to keep it going. If you are still considering doing the 1/2 marathon, DO IT! You still have way more than enough time to train
Only minor bummer note this week was the scale. I’m only down 1 lbs. Again, this who process is about the weight loss, but I really thought I would have made better progress than that.
Time to keep on keeping on.
