My favorite excuses:
- I’ll get to it later today.
- I just need some food in me.
- I really need a nap first.
- The day is just too busy.
- I’ll make up for it tomorrow.
- The gym is about to close.
I fell to a few of these this week. Out of the seven days, I only had four really good days of workouts. They were four incredible workouts—over a thousand calories burned each time and a really great heart rate, but I had trouble with the excuses. I’m out of town for work right now. The hotel gym did close pretty early last night and opened to late for me to get in a workout before departing to my speaking engagement site today. I do have my workout gear and now plan to just go straight to the gym after my plane lands.
So it’s been mixed: Four amazing workout and at least two days where I let the excuses get the better of me. This weekly blog is keeping me honest though. I don’t like having to post losing to the excuses this week and I really don’t plan on doing it again anytime in the near future.
Those are my excuses. Now I need to make sure I listen to the good counter argument.
