Patrick Maurer is a young, dynamic speaker who has already presented workshops and entertained audiences of all ages in over ten states and in such venues as Six Flags Magic Mountain.
After emerging as active leader in high school where he worked as a Conflict Manager, HOBY Ambassador, Link Crew leader, class president, ASB Senator, and member of the Campbell Union HS District Student Advisory Board, Patrick was recognized by Leigh High School with the Principals Cup as well as the creation of a perpetual award named in his honor.
Key Club International and Arizona State University further recognized Patricks outstanding service as a Key Club President, Top Ten Lt. Governor, and Distinguished Governor of the California-Nevada-Hawaii
District of Key Club International by awarding him the Arizona State University/KCI Leadership Scholarship.
Patrick accepted the four year scholarship and continued to excel as a leader at Arizona State University. He worked on campus as a Programming Assistant for Student Leadership Programs, an Assistant Supervisor for Student Success Programs, and a Student Coordinator for ASU's Welcome Week.
Patrick actively volunteered as the Vice-Chair for the Arizona HOBY Leadership Seminar, an ASU campus tour guide, and the Vice-President of Membership for the award-winning ASU Student Alumni Association. ASU recognized Patrick's involvement by making him a member of ASU's Homecoming Royalty
Court and later naming Patrick the Outstanding Male Leader of his graduating class.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Communication from the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication, Patrick returned to San Jose to complete the Single Subject Teaching Credential Program at San Jose State University. He worked as a long-term substitute English teacher at a local
high school constantly finding new ways to make material connect to students lives.
When not speaking or traveling, Patrick enjoys spending time engaged in one of his many hobbies: photography, theatre, reading, improvisation, rock climbing, poetry, or film. On weekends, he can sometimes be seen performing in family-friendly improvisational comedy as a cast member of ComedySportz San Jose.
Two of Patrick's passions remain speaking and training. His unique blend of humor and perspective on real-life experiences continues to entertain and enrich audiences of all ages. Patrick believes that education and leadership are life long journeysso far he has really enjoyed his path.
